When I was 17 years old, I fell in awe of a character in a Piers Anthony novel. In short, the character was good at everything … I mean music, fencing, ice climbing, extemporaneous poetry, you name it. But in the end, it wasn’t his skills that rendered me awe-struck, it was his principles. Center to the story was his immutable sense of honesty. He would die before he broke his word and I wanted to be known for that same principled durability.
I am a consummate geek whose heart has always been torn between comedy and a fascination with the pursuit of virtue. I am a writer of rich storyworlds, trans-media, multi-cultural classic adventure heroes. Previously, I worked for the White House Military Office in DC, in cyber counterintelligence, was a Japanese interpreter and lived in Japan and Italy. I have a B.A. in Creative Writing and have done graduate work at Harvard.
